Effective date: July 30, 2026
These Terms govern access to and use of therefugeword.com, The Refuge Word newsletter, articles, prayers, videos, audio, downloads, subscription forms, surveys, comments, and related services. By accessing or using these services, you agree to these Terms. Where you subscribe, you also agree to the Privacy Policy presented during signup.
The Refuge Word is an independent Christian publication currently operated from Thailand under its public-facing brand name. It is not presently operated by a Singapore company. A Singapore company is expected to be incorporated before the end of 2026, with an operating office in Thailand. These Terms will be updated when that company assumes responsibility for the publication.
The Refuge Word provides Scripture reflection, prayer, biblical interpretation, spiritual encouragement, educational video and audio, and practical reflection on courage, responsibility, discernment, and peace. The publication is ecumenically minded and is not presented as the official teaching of any church, denomination, religious order, or ecclesiastical authority.
The Refuge Word offers Christian reflection and prayer. It does not replace medical care, mental-health care, psychological support, legal advice, safeguarding assistance, financial advice, pastoral counseling, or emergency assistance. Do not delay professional help, emergency intervention, or protective action because of anything published by The Refuge Word. Where you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact the relevant local emergency, medical, safeguarding, or law-enforcement service.
The Refuge Word does not represent that a prayer guarantees physical protection; faithful people will never suffer; illness or hardship proves weak faith; a particular practice guarantees healing, deliverance, prosperity, or safety; or readers should ignore reasonable precautions or professional assistance. Faith and prayer should support prudence, responsibility, compassion, and appropriate action.
Scripture quotations will identify the Bible translation where reasonably practicable. Unless otherwise stated, English Scripture quotations may use the World English Bible Updated, a public-domain translation. Biblical quotation, historical context, interpretation, personal reflection, and practical application will be distinguished where material. Interpretive questions may be understood differently among Christian traditions.
Unless otherwise stated, original articles, prayers, commentary, scripts, videos, audio recordings, music, illustrations, graphics, logos, downloads, publication design, and The Refuge Word branding are protected by copyright or other intellectual-property rights.
The Refuge Word may use artificial-intelligence tools to assist with research organization, initial drafting, image generation, transcription, subtitles, translation support, audio or music production, formatting, and platform adaptation. Final theological claims, editorial positions, and publication decisions are reviewed and approved by the publication operator. Synthetic imagery will not knowingly be presented as documentary evidence of a real event, and AI must not be relied upon to invent Scripture quotations or historical sources.
You may subscribe by providing a valid email address and completing any required consent process. You are responsible for ensuring that the address belongs to you or that you are authorized to use it. You may unsubscribe at any time through the link in an email. We may suspend or remove an address associated with spam complaints, abuse, automated signups, repeated delivery failure, unlawful activity, or interference with the website or publication.
Free guides and downloads are provided for personal, noncommercial use unless a resource expressly states otherwise. A free resource may be modified, replaced, withdrawn, or made unavailable without notice. Receiving a free resource does not create a professional, counseling, fiduciary, pastoral, or advisory relationship.
During this interim pre-incorporation period, The Refuge Word does not offer paid products, memberships, institutional licenses, or commercial contracts under these Terms. Before any paid offer is introduced, the legal seller, payment terms, taxes, delivery terms, cancellation rights, refund policy, and license restrictions must be stated in separate, legally reviewed terms. This section should be replaced when the Singapore company becomes the contracting party.
When you send feedback, a reply, testimonial, comment, or other submission, you retain ownership of your original content. You grant The Refuge Word permission to use it internally to respond, improve the publication, understand reader needs, or address safety, legal, or technical issues. We will not publicly identify you or reproduce a private prayer request or message without permission, except where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to address a serious safety concern.
Where comments or community features are available, users must communicate respectfully. We may moderate, restrict, or remove content that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexually explicit, defamatory, deliberately misleading, exploitative of fear or vulnerability, denominationally hostile, promotional spam, unrelated, unlawful, or unsafe.
Links to third-party resources are provided for convenience or reference. The Refuge Word does not control and does not guarantee third-party content, availability, privacy practices, security, accuracy, products, or services. A link does not necessarily constitute endorsement.
We may modify the website or publication, correct errors, update an article, change publication frequency, remove obsolete material, suspend a service, or change technology providers. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Material corrections should be made transparently where reasonably practicable.
To the extent permitted by law, the website and publication are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that all content will be free from error, every interpretation will be universally accepted, the service will always be available, every link or download will remain active, or use of the material will produce a particular spiritual, emotional, medical, financial, or practical outcome. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Refuge Word and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from reliance on or inability to access the publication. The Refuge Word is not responsible for decisions to delay, avoid, or reject appropriate professional or emergency assistance. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
During the pre-incorporation period, these Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. A concern should first be raised in writing through [email protected]. If it cannot be resolved informally, disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Thailand, except where mandatory consumer or data-protection law gives a user the right to bring a claim elsewhere. After incorporation, this section may be revised to provide for Singapore law and jurisdiction while preserving mandatory rights applicable in Thailand or a user’s country of residence.
We may revise these Terms when the Singapore company is incorporated, paid products or memberships are introduced, website features or providers change, or legal requirements change. The current version will display its effective date. Continued use after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
